Welcome to the blog that is all about junk and how working to make the junk better has been shaping my life. AND you get to learn about how growing up on a farm is one of the best things! I am a farmer’s daughter through and through. I would rather be out in the sunshine all day long than stuck in a windowless office (yep that is where I have been the last three years!). Don’t get me wrong, the work I do is important, but I started to wonder the first day I started, “is this for me?”. And guys, I am just as lost now as I was then. But, the difference is, I am not petrified to try anymore and working on junk has given me that blessing. If you are someone who has asked yourself “what am I supposed tdo with my life”, you are in the right place honey! Through this blog, I am going to walk you through different pieces of junk that any normalperson would throw to the curb and show you how I saved them and how they saved me. Along each journey, I will incorporate stories from life on the farm (that is Woods and Things Tree Farm if you didn’t know!) and even some of the big dreams I have for the farm. Friends, I have been working hard to find my corner in this big scary world and I want to share with you some important things that I am finding along the way. I will talk about life lessons, big dreams, falling flat on my face, and how I am feeling my way through life. I hope that this blog will help others put the fear aside and go give something a try! If you are not happy with what you are doing, go pick up a pen or a brush or a hammer and get to work. I found going in with the attitude of “who cares if this doesn’t turn out nice, it is a piece of junk anyway” allows me to be free and craft a piece of art. The only way we (and yes I said we) are going to find our place in this world is by trying different things. My mission is to save as much junk from being wasted as possible, to help people bring joy into their lives and to preserve the beautiful farm I grew up on and share it with others. I hope you come along on this journey with me.

Katie CiccozziI am a farm girl through and through. I thought going to school, getting a degree, and moving towards a city would make me happy. You can take the girl off the farm but you can't take the farm out of the girl. You will learn much more about me with each piece of junk I transform into beautiful home decor. Archives
